One disc is missin'! Haven't played any of the Metal Gear games? Now's a chance to play the Solid titles prior to 4! However, disc 2 of Subsistence3 is missing! It has Metal Gear and Metal Gear2 for the MSX2. Nevertheless... a great deal!

Don't!!! This doesn't contain the full version of MGS3Subsistence, it only has the first disc.

Snake? Are you okay? SNAAAKE? I don't see a reason why anyone should not buy this box. It is a collection of three of the finest games on the market at an unbelievably low price! Don't waste your money on the gamecube version of Metal Gear Solid - play the original cut right here.

am having problems with the third disck... Metal Gear Solid Rocks! and the first two game are amazing but the third one doesn't work!
it asks for my memory card all the time when all of the other games work fine.
anyway, am sending this game back for testing.
I just thought everyone should know because this could be a problem with all of the discs and not just mines.

A Must Buy For only 35$, you get the chance to experience one of the best franchises ever made. MGS1 and MGS2:Substance are rare nowadays, so that makes the collection even more essential. Easily the best games I've ever played.
The reason I give 4 stars is because of two odd decisions by Konami: You'll need a PS1 memory card in order to save in MGS1, so if you don't have a PS3 or the memory card, you're pretty screwed, as these memory cards are hard to find. (luckily, I have a PS1)
Also, the second disc for Subsistence isn't included. While it isn't necessary for the game, it includes many great extras and that's a shame it wasn't included.
Overall, one of the best purchases I've made recently.

3 games for the price of 1! A little disappointed with the cases, but for the price you really can't complain, seeing as MGS2:Substance and the original MGS are pretty rare these days. It isn't called Essential Collection for nothing.

Certainly the Essential Collection If you are a die-hard MGS fan you should buy this. It has all three games in one package, brand new with special artwork on the box and discs. If you never played Metal Gear, you should DEFINITELY buy this. I promise you, you will get into the series if you play this, and it will be just in time until MGS4 comes out. Metal Gear rawks!
